Bobbin Bench - Oak

A playful yet grounded bench featuring hand-turned bobbin legs and a clean, textured seat. Thoughtfully proportioned, it brings warmth and quiet character into any space while remaining highly functional.

Built using traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery, the seat and undercarriage are firmly united — creating a structure that feels solid, balanced, and made to endure everyday use.

The legs and stretchers are individually turned from solid oak, offering both strength and longevity. Over time, the piece develops a richer patina, adding to its timeless appeal.

Perfect in an entryway, at the foot of a bed, as a garden bench, or even as a low coffee table — the Bobbin Bench is designed to move effortlessly between spaces.

The Craft

Each bench is handcrafted in our Sydney workshop using traditional joinery techniques passed down through generations of furniture making.

The signature bobbin legs are shaped on the lathe, then carefully joined using time-honoured techniques that prioritise strength and longevity.

The seat is subtly finished to retain a natural, tactile feel — balancing softness with structure.
